When Every Word Counts...
Does Mark Twain make you a promise like that?

I have some breathtaking news about my 5 a.m. Stories.
Last Sunday, I posted my 200th new story! That’s a total of 220,000 words in my online archive, and of course that doesn’t even include Feline Fridays, Wombat Wednesdays Throwback Thursdays and other heartwarming special features.
Two hundred stories!
Think about it like this. The annual Indianapolis 500 Mile Race has exactly 200 laps, so if you were a driver circling the big oval, you could read a different story each lap and take the checkered flag just as you finish reading the most recent one!
WARNING: Reading while driving 225 miles per hour is not recommended for everyone.
What does this 220,000-word archive mean for subscribers?
It’s all about getting a lot of words for your money. Let’s take four random, highly regarded American novels. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Slaughterhouse Five, The Great Gatsby and The Red Badge of Courage.
I hear those are pretty good books. Altogether, the four of them total 215,000 words.
You see where I’m going with this? If you are a 5 a.m. Stories subscriber, my 220,000-word archive already puts you 5,000 words ahead of somebody who only has those four novels.
(Four pretty good novels)
Each Sunday, you get a brand-new, shiny story. Long after those four novels have stopped entertaining you, my stories will keep on coming.
Those old books just take up shelf space. They never change, they just stay the same. But my stories keep popping up and surprising you, sort of like Whac-A-Mole.
Here is one more interesting way to look at it. In May 2024, when I first went behind a pay wall with Do It For the Animals, my story archive was 93,500 words. Today, as I’ve just said, it’s 220,000 words, and yet the $5 monthly subscription hasn’t gone up one penny!
These words are a better bargain than ever!
Just $5 a month, and you can quit any time you want! Does Mark Twain make you a promise like that? Does Kurt Vonnegut?
Well, do they?
And finally, as you probably already know, I distribute my subscription profits to carefully selected nonprofits helping animals and the environment. I will have some big news about that coming in a few days.
Over to you, dear readers….
