A masterful throwback to a memorable Santa story. Love this one - thanks to both of you.

Regardless of the chronology of their release these tales get better and better.

Because of the fabled Reuters fetish for accuracy I need to tell you that the earliest recorded petroglyphs are about 40,000 years old. So in terms of historical 'firsts' you might only be able to claim the world's earliest anachronism with your Org/Eela story...

I'm also wondering what Barbara was doing going out in those Chinese summer carpet slippers?

It's not an anachronism, Org was clubbed to death before he could even start his petroglyphs, and it was many thousands of years before anyone else thought of doing some.

I think the slippers were in anticipation of our eventual move to Hong Kong....

Have you visited Lake Placid recently? My sister lives near there and when I'm visiting her I often go there to peruse some of the kitsch-filled stores. Despite being awfully full of tourists, the Adirondacks are beautiful, especially in Fall. Great story!

Thanks, Kim. Haven't been to L.P.. since 1980 (!) however we lived in Albany from 1973-1978, so we're well aware of Adirondack beauty....

Barbara’s got the patience of an Angel! I can’t imagine how you’ve been spared any clubbings😚 Lovely photos!

Smiles per sentence -- just about every other one. How is it possible that these just keep getting better? Thanks for the chuckles and the reminder of what good writing looks like.

Lovin’ & becoming addicted, at least greatly anticipatory, of these fortnightly tidbits. These would make great spoken tales as well. Looking forward to an audible collection.

If not you, I know a narrator. 😊

Lovely. Also, it’s a little known fact that Santa Claus spoke Cantonese.
