As a cat person - growing up we had many, all outdoors, and at one time 27 - I can relate well to this story. We had to say goodbye to Homer a couple of years ago after 17 years. We now have two from the Santa Fe Animal Shelter, one of your old stomping grounds. Amaru and LuLu take up too much of the bed but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Dear Bob,

I very much enjoy your daily comments and read them all. Commenting is a chore because of a complicated sign-in. And I get about 100 emails a day so yours is a delightful relief.
