Everybody who has read my story called Holmes is Where the Heart Is, knows I’m a life-long fan of Sherlock Holmes. As a young lad growing up in Indiana, I read about faraway London landmarks in the detective’s adventures, and I dreamed of seeing them someday with my own eyes.
Baker Street, Charing Cross, Paddington, Victoria, the Thames, Scotland Yard….
I could close my eyes and almost taste the succulent roast beef at Simpson’s-in-the-Strand, the restaurant where Holmes and Watson dined.
