(Jake and Lucy relax in the 5 a.m. Stories home office…)
Ladies and gentlemen, we interrupt our 5 a.m. Stories for an important announcement.
As of yesterday, charitable donations from paid subscriptions have passed the $4,000 mark!
The donations that put us over the top went to Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue, Nonhuman Rights Project, National Public Radio and the Kurt Vonnegut Museum.
Readers, you all should stand up and take a bow.
Pat yourselves on the back, too, but not at the same time you take the bow. You’re not contortionists.
A paid subscription is just $5 a month, or $54 for a whole year, and all you need to do is click on the red SUBSCRIBE button, below. For that modest amount you get a new story every Sunday, plus Throwback Thursdays, and access to my priceless archive of more than 130 stories.
You also get to leave your own comments on my stories, and you may be as snotty as you like. Where else can you get unlimited rudeness for just $5 a month?
Best of all, you’re helping a lot of worthy causes.
Please try it for a month or two. How bad can it be?
( 5 a.m. Stories are gluten-free and contain no harmful dyes.)
Mr B, even in Canadian dollars, the subscription is so worth it. Thanks for recently re-running the salute to Graham Greene including our comment exchange. Your column has helped me through many a cloudy morning.
